Hello Leonsgran! Welcome to JellyRollQuilters! I'm not from your area, but come and say hello on our introductions discussion in the forum, here. Someone from Bolton, or thereabouts, might well pop up.

Hello Sewnook

I hope that I understand your question correctly (please forgive me if I've got the wrong end of the stick). You need to place the 45 degree line of the large square ruler on the line of stitching at the bottom of the strip unit, cut, then slide the ruler up til the 45 degree line is on the line of stitching at the top and cut again.

Hope this helps. :-)

My comment is that when you use the large square up ruler, are you just laying any line along the bottom of your strip or are you using the 45 degree line to cut your blocks?  Looks like you are just layint it down and making sure it is even.  Which is it.  I have a stash and am anxious to make one.

I haven't found written instructions for this quilt anywhere, but I did find that it was pretty easy to make by just watching the video a few times. And, let me tell you, I am NO expert! :-)

I did post a link to a photo of a fonished version of the quilt a few inches down this page vvv

Here's my (as yet unfinished) version of this quilt. I actually made it with 3 inch strips, which I cut from yardage, because I wanted a quick baby quilt for a friend, and (as usual) I'd left it a bit late!

Has anybody found the pattern?

Unfortunately I have to finish what I am doing before I can start.

For those asking for an image of a finished version of this quilt, there's one on this Quilting Corner blog.
